This is my collection of worship-style synth pad presets, built into an Ableton Instrument Rack. Inside, you’ll find both my Omnisphere Rack and my Serum Rack, along with additional layers from the free LABS plugins by Spitfire Audio (I’m using three different LABS sounds here).
Each preset combines multiple pad layers to create the sounds I reach for daily in both live and studio settings. The Omnisphere Rack presets blend Omnisphere with LABS layers, so you’ll need to have both installed for the sounds to load correctly. The same is true for the Serum Rack presets, which also combine Serum and LABS layers to achieve their full character.
The Omnisphere Rack includes a total of 4 presets, while the Serum Rack includes 3. Both racks are nested inside a larger Instrument Rack that contains additional FX and macro snapshots.
The macros in this larger rack are designed primarily to control the sequencer for the synth, giving you expressive and flexible control over the pads during performance.
I’ve also included additional Omnisphere and Serum presets that aren’t specifically used in this instrument rack but could be loaded in as you see fit.
⚠Important: This rack is built strictly with VST3 plugins, so it works on both Mac and PC. It combines Ableton stock devices with Omnisphere. If you don’t have Omnisphere installed, the core sound will not load correctly, but the rack and clips will still function.
OMNISPHERE PRESETS:
MAIN PAD - My go-to everyday pad, used about 90% of the time.
BRIGHT PAD - A severely “low cut” pad.
AMBIENT PAD - A very mellow pad with minimal response to the mod wheel.
LABS PAD - A blend made only from LABS sounds, balanced to sit well in a mix.
SERUM PRESETS:
MAIN PAD - My go-to everyday pad, used about 90% of the time.
JUNO PAD - A pad styled after the classic Juno synth sound..
AMBIENT PAD - Warm, soft, and mellow with a smooth character.
